First clinic visit
Today was the real beginning to our visit to Uganda. After lots of anticipation and excitement, it was a great to finally be getting the ball rolling. It was also nice to see the students who had not been foreign country, get comfortable with their surroundings and take in the initial shock of the Ugandan culture and scenery. It was a great experience walking around the first clinic we visited and seeing the new things we would be encountering for the next two weeks. After completing interviews with local community members, we were kindly invited to lunch by Sister Scholastica. It was very different from a typical American meal and it was very fascinating to taste the different, yet delicious, Ugandan cuisine.
