Medical volunteer positions in Africa open for Fall and Winter 2019 and Spring 2020

Medical Journeys is now accepting applications for medical volunteers for Uganda for this fall, winter and next spring. Opportunities are open to premed students and students currently in nursing or medical school. Practicing and retired medical professionals may also apply.

Available positions are in rural health clinics throughout Uganda where volunteers are placed in positions suitable to their levels of training and experience. In addition to coordinating the volunteer placement, Medical Journeys arranges lodging and meals for volunteers, together with domestic transportation and the opportunity to add leisure travel within Uganda before or after a volunteer’s placement.

Medical Journeys is an initiative of Imaging the World, a nonprofit organization based in Vermont that provides ultrasound equipment and training to rural health clinics in Uganda.
