Five added to ITW board of directors


Imaging the World announced five additions to its board of directors, including Jane Alsofrom as its new board chair.

Jane Alsofrom, Chair

Jane is the former Radiation Therapy Program Director at the University of Vermont where she also taught courses in the radiation therapy degree program and the Medical Laboratory and Radiation Sciences department. She has worked with Imaging the World in different capacities since 2015 and holds a certificate in nonprofit management from Marlboro College and a Master’s of Education from the University of Vermont. In addition, Jane chairs the Vermont Board of Radiologic Technology.


Barbara Asiimwe

Barbara is the Department Administrator for the Department of Mathematics and Statistics in the College of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences at the University of Vermont. She previously served as a Senior Principal Banking Officer at the Bank of Uganda in Kampala. She offers Imaging the World in-depth experience in data analysis, business administration and project management. She holds a Master’s in Arts in Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Quantitative Economics, both from Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda.


Thomas F Coates III

Tom is cofounder and executive committee member of Coates & Davenport, a law firm in Richmond, VA. He has an extensive background in real estate and business transactions from residential and commercial real estate purchases and sales to major corporate mergers and acquisitions. Tom has also provided general business and corporate legal advice to businesses and professional practices. He has a life-long involvement in nonprofit communities, serving on the boards of, and as counsel for, numerous nonprofit educational and charitable organizations.


Bob Lawson

Bob is founder of Sustainable Digital, a consulting firm offering technology and digital communication services to nonprofits and international NGOs. Bob began his career as a reporter and editor before moving online with the advent the internet. He has worked with internet startups in the US, Switzerland, Italy, Spain and India, mostly in the online travel field. Bob started Sustainable Digital in 2015 and works throughout Vermont, New England and internationally.


Mary Streeter

Mary became involved with Imaging the World in 2009, contributing in research, education, and training. In this role she leads activities relating to quality assurance, quality improvement, and patient experience improvements. This role supports creating standardization in care delivery and developing quality metrics to guide clinical decision making. Mary has a Master’s in Radiologic Sciences and is the Radiology Quality Officer for the University of Vermont Medical Center and is a clinical instructor at the UVM College of Medicine.
